In 2023, we did treatments of European frog-bit, Japanese knotweed, and invasive Phragmites treatments on a selection of county roadways in our area! We have also partnered with MDOT to treat Japanese knotweed on some private properties adjacent to state roads to help protect our infrastructure.

Roadside ditches and rights-of-way are one of the most common pathways for invasive species spread!
Japanese knotweed if not managed can grow through pavement and obscure traffic signs and intersections. |
