National Invasive Species Awareness Week

Saginaw Bay CISMA is bringing attention to  National Invasive Species Awareness Week! NISAW is an international event to raise awareness about invasive species, the threat that they pose, and what can be done to prevent their spread. NISAW is powered by The North American Invasive Species Management Association (NAISMA), which supports local, state, and regional organizations to make NISAW their own.

February 20 through 26 is National Invasive Species Awareness week, we plan to celebrate by visiting classrooms, pruning workshops, and sharing information about keeping out invasive species.

We have created content ahead of this week, for our partners who want to participate with us on social media and beyond. Feel free to use the templates available on this page.

The National Invasive Species Awareness Week website has a toolkit available as well as helpful ideas for how to participate: https://www.nisaw.org/ . They also are hosting a series of webinars during this week.
